Chewing your food thoroughly is a very important habit that will help prevent you from overeating, as well as keep that waistline slim and trim. How, you ask? The longer we chew our foods, the less we’ll consume because your tongue sends signals to your stomach to produce enzymes to break down whatever it is you are eating. Longer chewing will also send signals to the brain to let you know when to stop — enough is enough! So chew your food until it liquifies in the mouth. This will also allow the body to absorb more nutritious and prevents constipation.
